The NRP Group is looking for a Corporate Marketing Communications Manager to communicate the NRP brand to stakeholders, including local government officials, housing authorities, investors, other developers and owners, sub-contractors and vendors, current and potential NRP team members, the trade press, and others. The Corporate Marketing Communications Manager uses the written word, presentations and other tools to covey the brand by way of internal and external corporate communications, industry awards and rankings, and the creative support of employee engagement efforts. The Manager Corporate Marketing Communications is an ambassador who helps departments across the company convey their great work so they can attract more great team members, public and private partners, projects and investors.
External Communications and Public Relations – Lead efforts to publicizing financial closings, new partnerships, company events and activities, thought leadership topics, business roundups, and other activities that help keep the NRP name highly visible throughout the multifamily industry. Leads PR efforts in assigned NRP markets in collaboration with NRP developers. Direct social media strategy and execution. Help NRP executives with speech writing, interview prep and similar communications support activities.
Industry Awards & Rankings – Lead NRP efforts in applying for industry awards and rankings. Lead the annual marketing sponsorship activities for industry association events like the NMHC Annual Meeting.
Internal Communications & Employee Engagement – Serve as the primary resource for teams across the company to develop compelling internal communications messaging. Teams include Human Resources, the Diversity & Inclusion committee, the NRP Cares Team, the NRP Business Units and the NRP Executive Team, among others.
Updating Content Across Platforms – Responsible for ensuring that press releases, awards, videos and other content is kept fresh and updated across NRPGroup.com, social media and other communication platforms.
Other Projects – Support the Corporate Marketing team with ongoing projects that emerge through the course of business. Examples are participating in a COVID response taskforce, helping the Property Management team create talking points to explain a specific affordable housing program to potential residents, and other projects as the need arises.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- College degree in English, Journalism or other heavy writing disciplines
3+ Years of Work Experience in corporate communications role or equivalent.
Direct experience creating a wide range of compelling external and internal written communications and presentations.
Experience in creative social media development, programming and execution
Breadth of experience working across a range of teams in various business functions.
This is a writing job – written skills are paramount and are the cornerstone of success.
Ability to write in range of styles to fit medium – press release, awards submission, thought leadership piece, etc.
Proficiency across social media platforms and campaign management tools
Proficient in Microsoft office suite or similar.
Ability to produce presentations using PowerPoint or similar package.
Skills in social media management a plus.
