Responsible for leading all operations accounting and finance activities for Baxter's manufacturing facility in Cleveland, Mississippi. This role is a key member of the facility’s Senior Leadership Team. Included is providing proactive decision support, financial expertise, and solutions to help the plant achieve objectives. Implement policies and procedures for reporting and internal controls, as well as leading the team in completion of reporting and planning requirements. Owner of financial results.
Partner across the plant to drive cost improvements and achieve financial objectives.
Lead the comprehensive Manufacturing Plant planning and reporting processes - quarterly forecasts, operating plans, monthly spending analysis, and weekly estimates to plans / forecasts.
Provide proactive leadership for all operating forecast and estimate updates throughout the year as well as the annual operating plan and strategic plan.
Work cross-functionally to identify and develop actions to recover financial misses.
Lead compliance with internal controls, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and Baxter Financial Policies and Procedures.
Ensure that decision support services are provided to other departments.
Provide financial modeling / business decision support on all plant investments and new business initiatives
Manage and Develop finance staff
Support plant capacity, VIP initiatives, and capital spending reviews / analysis
Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:
Demonstration of key finance competencies and leadership capabilities with 8 or more years of experience.
Strong business acumen and judgment as well as understanding of relevant business environment.
Ability to effectively influence and drive consensus with diverse stakeholders; demonstrated ability to manage multiple, competing priorities.
Experience leading cost accounting, financial reporting and budgeting / forecasting activities
Experience with managing and developing others
Decisive leadership, with ability to generate ideas, develop alternatives, rapidly decide upon best course of action and drive implementation of that decision.
Strong negotiation, interpersonal communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
Comfortable working in ERP software (JDE) and experience in Excel, Power Point, Word
Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles
Key Finance Competencies:
Business Performance Management
Financial Analysis and Decision Support
Business Process and Data Management
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or country equivalent).
CPA and/or MBA preferred.
Demonstration of key finance competencies and qualifications and typically 8 or more years of experience with emphasis in cost accounting and budgeting.
