This position reports to the Analytical Lab Manager of the Cincinnati Technology Center. Position offers a competitive base salary, bonus, pension plan, 401K matching, generous benefits package, education assistance, employee discounts and relocation to Cincinnati.Roles and ResponsibilitiesThis position will utilize a variety of Analytical testing techniques (including LC-MS, GC-MS) to solve problems related to fundamental polymer research, and technical support for our manufacturing organization. * Plan, design and execute method development and implementation programs to reach business objectives.* Serve as technical resource, maintain high-standards, positive attitude, good work ethics and train lab associates.* Participate in internal Expert Groups to leverage best practices, keep up-to-date with advances in the field of polymer research, and introduce new analytical technologies, including new instrument evaluations and recommendations.* Serve on multidisciplinary teams supporting research efforts by solving complex problems.* Ensure safe and efficient laboratory operations, overseeing the necessary calibrations, maintenance of the laboratory equipment, safe handling of all chemicals and assisting with testing as needed.* Ensure alignment of analytical testing, communication with management and customers while understanding priorities with business requirementsResponsibilities:? Provide technical leadership in the areas of LC-MS and GC-MS analysis ? Utilize analytical knowledge to solve problems specifically in the area of small molecule characterizations.? Utilize different types of Analytical techniques as needed to analyze samples submitted to the lab and consistently deliver high quality reliable results while meeting customer expectations and throughput goals? Responsible for receiving, preparing, testing, interpreting data, reporting statistics, entering and/or uploading to the LIMS? Develop new methods as necessary in support of projects ? Conduct analytical testing associated with assigned projects ? Maintain all instruments in good working condition, including required routine calibration? Interface effectively with RandD managers, supervisors, researchers, other technicians, engineers, site HSE and other support staff for the planning and execution of efficient experimental programs with the highest attention to detail and data integrity?
