We are currently in need of a1st Shift ProductionSupervisor.This role is mainly responsible for managing, supervising, and coordinating activities for production and packaging department(s) in processing materials or manufacturing products. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Please see our web site for additional company information - MEASURES OF SUCCESS Manage shift of 15-20 employees involved in all aspects of production and packaging. Manage staffing levels, assignments, overtime, priorities, and performance to maximize productivity and customer service. Reviews production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations. Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products. Inspects machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization. Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards. Resolves worker issues or submits unsettled issues to Plant Manager/HR for action. Compiles, stores, and retrieves production data from SAP and Shoplogix. Proactive advocate as it relates to safety, minimizing exposure to incidents, recordable and lost time injuries. Monitor mechanical performance of equipment and facilities, coordinating corrective action with Maintenance personnel. Manage compliance with SQF requirements, housekeeping, and other quality initiatives. Monitor and report on various shift performance measurements. Responsible for reporting any Food Safety issues to authorized personnel for correction. IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES 2-4 years of supervisory experience in a production and packaging environment and/or a Supervisory Management Degree is desirable. Working...
