Position Description:The Personnel Manager Assistant will undertake a variety of duties in our Human Resources Department to assist our Personnel Manager. The role reports to the Personnel Manager and is an hourly full-time position.Summary of Duties: *Prepares and submits open job postings on-line and internal. Handles the applications process. Identify staff vacancies and supports recruitment with the Personnel Manager. *Prepares all new hire, re-hire, transfer, separation, student, and volunteer documentation. *Plan and conduct new hire, student, and volunteer orientations, including all required paperwork, data entry, fingerprinting and security access. *Maintains electronic personnel files. *Maintains and administer Center employee benefits. *Maintains and administer documentation for FMLA, ADA, EEOC, Vets-4212. *Administration of unemployment and Long-Term disability. *Maintains and administer BWC, and the 300A report and data. *Complies and submits any Federal, State, or local surveys. *Develop and/or administer special projects as requested by Personnel Manager as determined by business needs. Education and Work Experience *Associate degree and 8 years of Human Resources experience required. *3-5 years of progressive experience in Human Resource and/or related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. *Bachelor or Master’s degree is desirable but not required. Qualifications and Skills: *Must have 3 to 5 year’s proven experience in Human Resources, including employment law, FMLA, ADA, Vets-4212 reporting, employee benefits, EEOC reporting, BWC, OSHA, unemployment, and recruitment. *Must be a skilled communicator, smooth but strong at all levels of the organization. *Must be able to effectively resolve issues promptly at all levels of the department. *Ability to effectively handle multiple activities simultaneously and successfully function in areas of Human Resources. *Must be proficient using MS Office application, Word, and Excel. *Have a working knowledge and be able to navigate supporting Center software.
