VMware Sr. Industry Marketing Manager, Public Sector - Opportunity for Working Remotely in Chicago, Illinois

Description

VMware is looking for a Sr. Industry Marketing Manager to own integrated campaign and content strategy that increases account engagement and accelerate sales in VMware’s largest enterprise Federal and SLED accounts. This role requires an experienced marketing professional to construct and influence execution of multi-channel campaigns that surround public sector personas making decisions on large transformation purchases.

Reporting to the Director of Americas Government, Education and Healthcare Marketing, you'll join a group of highly collaborative marketers that drive the cross-functional orchestration and work across the organization. You’ll work with the global industry strategy team, the franchise teams, and field-based subject matter experts to develop, version and aggregate content for scalable, repeatable Fed and SLED customer journeys. In addition, you’ll influence how those journeys are activated across field, demand, and partner marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Develop civilian, state & local, and defense-specific demand journeys that drive engagement at each stage of the B2G buyer’s journey.

  • Act as the expert liaison between field marketing , partner marketing and global demand center of excellence to recommend tactics to engage public sector target accounts.

  • Collaborate with industry subject matter experts to create demand content that articulates mission-driven public sector value propositions and market drivers while staying true to the VMware brand and global industry messaging frameworks.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of enterprise marketing experience in high-tech/Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) environments; minimum of 5 years of Public Sector marketing experience required.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of leveraging modern marketing principles into to public sector accounts (BtoG) including: account based marketing (ABM), marketing automation/nurture programs, intent-based programmatic marketing and the integration of online and offline tactics .

  • Minimum of 3+ years creating high-performing content for public sector that articulates mission-driven public sector value propositions and market drivers.

  • Understanding of enterprise sales pipeline management and forecasting processes.

  • Ability to influence across functions, be a team player and thrive in a matrixed environment.

  • Data-driven mindset and the ability to deliver the most relevant insights that accurately describe the campaign performance, the account metrics and the impact metrics (revenue, pipeline)

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail and flawless execution.

  • Bachelors in Marketing, Business or equivalent
