Title: Senior Software Engineer - 70014
As a Senior Software Engineer, for the Ecommerce team at John Deere you will design, build and deliver software solutions to help John Deere significantly grow and protect market share in the After Market Parts, Services, Subscriptions and Consumer Whole Goods spaces through an “Extreme” focus on our customers and fast feedback via delivery of thin slices of value via functioning software. In addition, you will:
Operate within a full stack agile team and participate in all aspects of teams work of building out John Deere’s Ecommerce applications and ensuring delivery adheres to the proposed architecture.
Lead the team in technical practices such as selecting design solutions and leveraging industry standards such as SOLID principles and 12 Factor App for development practices within the team.
Ensure high quality software through adherence to Test Driven Development (TDD) as the foundation of development and enabling CI/CD and DevSecOps practices.
Provide Technical leadership, coaching and mentoring to team members within the product space.
Provide understanding of Cloud Computing, Analytics and Integration patterns to leverage in creating a Data driven and Scalable Environment to support Ecommerce.
What Skills You Need
6+ years of proven experience in the design, development, testing and integration of high complex software solutions in Java or NodeJS (ex: Platforms, Applications, API's) leveraging change management
6+ years of understanding of applications development environment, database, data management and infrastructure capabilities and constraints
4+ years of demonstrated experience leveraging DevSecOps and lean development principles such as Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
4+ years of demonstrated experience in TDD, acceptance test-driven development and emerging design
2+ years of demonstrated experience leading a team utilizing full-stack design patterns and designing loosely coupled architectures
2+ years of demonstrated experience in developing and delivering applications for the cloud

Experience with SAP Commerce (Hybris) Platform
Demonstrated experience utilizing Data and Analytics to augment Commerce Solutions
Experience providing t echnical leadership, coaching and mentoring to team members within a product space
Experience collaborating with multiple business stakeholders to provide information technology solution
Education or equivalent work experience
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience in a related career field
