Title: Assistant Vice President - Public Entity and Treaty

n

You will be responsible for managing the day to day activities for various assigned clients in conjunction with the account team . You should have a broad understanding of the environment in which the insureds operate and the reinsurance marketplace.

n

You are responsible for:

n

Maintaining relationships and regular communication with clients and markets, including the communication of Guy Carpenter intellectual property (peer studies, market reports) Negotiation and execution of the clients' placements. Data analysis Building of market materials for reinsurance placements (Submission, Marketing Presentations)

n

The Associate Broker works as part of various account teams providing support to senior account team members for the strategic direction of the account.

nProvide Broker Support n

n

n

+ Assist in renewing reinsurance programs, proving brokers with research analysis as needed.

n

+ Update Brokers on issues, progress, regularly and upon request

n

+ Assist in responding to client queries and concerns, resolving issues promptly

n

+ Assist in monitoring accounting (payments, collections, etc.) anticipating and preventing problems when possible


n

+ Maintain comprehensive knowledge of reinsurer capabilities (product lines, capacity, approvals, etc.) with the help of Market Information Department and Market Reference Guide

n

+ Analyze client risk and develop and present recommendations


n

nFacilitate Client Services n

n

n

+ Assist in designing new programs for clients' unmet needs

n

+ Respond to client requests for information (reinsurer, financial reports, industry issues, etc.) coordinating with Market Information and other departments as necessary in conjunction with the broader account team.


n

nWhat you need to have: n

n

n

+ Bachelor's Degree is required

n

+ 3-5 years relevant work experience in (re)insurance industry

n

+ Strong interpersonal skills for establishing and maintain good client, reinsurer, and internal relationships.

n

+ Strong analysis skills.

n

+ Good ability to organize and pay attention to detail.

n

+ Good verbal and writing skills for complex communications with clients, markets and GC colleagues at many levels.

n

+ Good ability to prioritize workload according to volume, urgency, etc.

n

+ Strong academic record in major and summer internship or other work experience.

n

+ Good problem solving skills and financial aptitude.

n

+ General knowledge of business principle and industry trends

n

+ Good computer skills using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Lotus Notes
