Nursery Design & Strategy Lead
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Nursery Design and Strategy Lead, are to:
There is a preference for this role to be located in Chesterfield, MO, but we will also consider residence-based candidates located in the mainland United States.
Be responsible for leading collaborations across Breeding, Biotechnology, Genotyping Labs, and IT functions that drive strategic and operational alignment of nursery design components with key stakeholders and customers, both internally and externally;
Be responsible for strategic enablement of the biotechnology and breeding testing and product supply business needs across corn, soybeans, cotton, canola, and wheat;
Assure commercial timelines for sales are maintained as a result of successful nursery operations;
Develop and execute the strategic alignment of site resource capacity, business needs, and timelines for the North America Breeding Pipelines;
Partner with Regional Leads to develop and monitor key performance indicators, analyze data, and prioritize workflow improvements of all production workflows;
Develop and drive data-driven continuous improvement opportunities across the nursery design and management space that impact organizations;
Ability to delivery in-full and on-time;
Assure that metrics are aligned with business needs and drive operational success;
Work with developers and support teams to create, develop, and improve software tools and visualizations for Nursery Design;
Position entails driving a company vehicle (pooled or assigned to the individual). This may include being required to drive greater than 5,000 business miles annually in a personal, pooled, or rented vehicle OR being expected to frequently drive a pooled car as part of your job duties – regardless of mileage.

Bachelor’s degree with at least 10 years of experience in operations, production planning, process engineering, or supply chain management;
At least five years of project development and management experience;
Demonstrated ability to influence leaders and front-line managers;
Highly effective collaborator with demonstrated ability to effectively drive results across functions and regions;
Proven ability to leverage data driven decisions and create digital summarizations and insights;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
20% Domestic Travel required;
Valid Driver’s License. Driving record (MVR) will be reviewed and must meet guidelines based on the company’s Risk Screening for Hiring Drivers.
- Six Sigma Green Belt and/or LEAN Practitioner.
Domestic Relocation may be provided for this role.
