Due to steady growth TricorBraun is now seeking to add a Packaging Consultant. As a Packaging Consultant you will be responsible for hunting within medium and large companies to create custom, value added packaging solutions that fit the specifications of your customers, calling on our design and support teams to help customers solidify their visions and turn those into reality. You will build sales through a consultative process where you discover customer needs, determine whether those are best met through products we have in stock or custom products, bring in product experts if required, work with the design team to meet customer needs, and then work with customers on final product changes. Your key goal as a Packaging Consultant is to help customers master all the tricky details of packaging. We offer value-added packaging consulting services designed to boost the speed, efficiency and effectiveness of our customers’ packaging operations. These services include Design & Innovation and knowledgeable consulting on logistics, global sourcing and localization, sustainability, and marketing.
You will begin with a training program that spans classroom, online, and hands-on work with other consultants to learn our business, our industry, and the sales process. For the first year you’ll work with other consultants to learn where to gain leads, how to best utilize our database, and how customer cycles work in this industry. The sales cycles are typically longer and may take anywhere from two months to over a year. Overnight travel will be required, estimated to be no more than 20% . You will be based out of the office in the location closest to your territory along with the operational staff that will help to support you.
To be a good fit for this opportunity you will have:
Preferably a Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of progressive sales experience.
Multiple years of experience in consultative sales, working with medium to large businesses with sales cycles ranging from 3 months to 2 years.
Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills.
A strong ability to skillfully use a CRM (Dynamics 365S preferred) to track and monitor customer accounts, organize priorities and manage your calendar of events.
A Strong working knowledge of all Microsoft Suite products that include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
