Kelly Services Material Handler / Forklift Operator in Chaska, Minnesota
Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and order fulfillment of merchandise, products, materials, parts, supplies and equipment
Checks goods received and for distribution against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of goods and rejects unsatisfactory items
Packages and prepares products for final shipment and posts weights and shipping charges
Lifts heavy items and will need to operate a forklift
Reviews customer orders, picks inventory in the warehouses and prepares for shipment.
Manages storage requests for special projects/shipments
Warehouse storage management and space allocation
Coordinate crating requests for all special needs return materials authorizations
Demonstrate mechanical aptitude including ability to use hand tools
Applies general math skills including fractions, decimals, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Familiar with SAP inventory management a plus
Ability to speak distinctly and see and hear clearly
Adhere to safety procedures consistent with the use of hand and power tools
Physical Requirements: Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity and ability to lift/carry objects up to 35 pounds is required. May require bending/stooping/crawling/climbing. May require the use of Personal Protection equipment and proper industry safety procedures when working with one or more dangerous element or conditions such as chemicals, moving mechanical parts, etc. Able to operate various forklift and pallet jacks.
