Microsoft Corporation Solutions Program Manager - Azure Cloud & AI in Charlotte, North Carolina
The Solutions Program Manager role in the Azure Cloud & AI Strategy and Solutions team is responsible for for collaboratively building IP component and solutions supporting pre-sales and delivery at a global level.
We’re especially looking for candidates who are very interested in impact across the Domain, through a role focused on helping Microsoft Consulting Services (MCS) scale and meet core customer and business objectives via solution offers, and who bring diverse perspectives, experiences and applied knowledge of key technologies and products.
The successful candidate will want to scale themselves through others, and be very capable of leading a team of SMEs, meeting deadlines, and partnering across several organizations, and sees the Solution Program Manager role as a very good next step in their career.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for collaboratively building the solutions and readiness for the Apps & Infra business in the Azure Cloud & AI global delivery domain. In partnership with our portfolio managers, solution managers, program managers, and stakeholders; specific responsibilities include:
Consulting engagement delivery IP – solutions, methodologies, templates, delivery guidance
Componentized approach leveraging field IP, building blocks and blueprints
Leveraging field and customer feedback, and optimizing for balancing budgets, timelines, quality and features
Work in close partnership with a team of diverse and talented peers in various disciplines including program management, product marketing, business management and pre-sales consulting for sustained long term success through:
Maintenance of an unwavering focus on our customers and the value you can deliver to them
Close collaboration with Microsoft product groups and partner teams when architectural and business dependencies exist
Future Microsoft product strategy with direct engagement with engineering
Discovery and design of solutions, with broad focus around enterprise, service providers, industry, platform and solutions.
Qualifications
3 years’ consulting services experience in architect or consultant roles
Hands-on experience in several of the following:
Azure, Virtualization, Operations, Networking, Storage, Security
Open-source software (OSS), Linux, Kubernetes
DevOps and Agile methodology
Data analytics and visualization
Development of reusable architecture patterns
Cloud computing platforms such as Azure, AWS, GCP
Good understanding of cloud products and platforms/solutions
Strong collaboration and cross-group partnering skills
Strong communication skills with the ability to present to and influence v-teamsProven experience in driving requirements, deliverables from a very diverse, complex matrixed
environment
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience required, Master's Degree in IT, Computer Science/MBA preferred
Certifications in Software/Enterprise Architecture and/or Microsoft Azure are preferred.
