Concept Systems Inc. Senior Controls Engineer in Charlotte, North Carolina

We are looking to add a Senior Controls Engineer to our team who has strong project management experience in addition to strong technical experience. A PE is highly preferred. This position is responsible for managing and overseeing engineering project scopes, budgets, and expectations and designing systems. This position is additionally responsible for building and maintaining customer relationships, supporting sales and marketing by performing the following duties.

Education and/or Experience

  • BS Degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field; and five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • High proficiency level in Office 365, PLC, PC and HMI programming ability is required

    Preferred Experience and Skills

  • A-B PLC Robotic Applications, Vision

  • A-B PLC Motion (Kinetix or other Servo drives)

  • Ignition, FactoryTalk View SE/ME

  • Siemens

  • Hardware design and documentation, including power distribution and component sizing

  • Motion control and panel QC preferred

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Travel to support project and sales requirements

  • Valid, insurable Driver's License is required

  • Valid Passport for occasional out of country travel preferred

  • Professional Engineer (PE) License strongly preferred

    The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The work environment may vary depending on start-up and customer site environments. Travel to customer sites is required for this position; 20-30% annually.
