Equitable’s Claims department is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team. In this role, you will focus on providing exceptional customer service to our clients, beneficiaries, and Financial Professionals. Claims is the moment of truth, so we take pride in delivering exceptional customer service to our beneficiaries.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Fully functioning incumbent who performs routine transactions.

  • Able to research and resolve standard issues.

  • Handles escalated requests and is considered a recognized technical resource whose knowledge encompasses a broad range of products and procedures.

  • Independently resolves complex and sensitive casework.

  • Responsible for processing of single and/or multiple functions and/or end-to-end processing of a variety of services for Inforce policies.

  • Post payments

  • Through phone calls and correspondence, communicate with policy holders, financial professionals, third parties, and regulatory agencies related to policy administration and customer inquiries.

  • Provides support for offshored functions.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma

  • 3 years customer service or transaction processing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of product features

  • Proactive self-starter; proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision/direction

  • Proven verbal and written communication skills

  • Established teamwork/collaboration skills

  • Demonstrated customer service acumen

  • Oorganization and time-management skills; ability to effectively manage multiple tasks/priorities and demonstrate flexibility in a fast-paced environment of changing priorities/demanding circumstances

  • Proven analytical and innovative problem-solving skills

  • Acts in compliance with regulatory agency (FINRA, SEC, State Insurance Department) guidelines

  • Knowledge of product features and transaction processing
