In Microsoft Enterprise Commerical - Retail/CPG, we are looking for a strategic thinker with a passion for operational excellence - combining successful project management background with a willingness to complement his/her experience with executive exposure.

This role requires the ability to think at a programmatic level and be able to effectively drive processes and consistency across the business and impact business outcomes. The individual needs to be comfortable working with and engaging with the senior leaders and managing priorities in a fast-paced, complex environment.

Responsibilities

Systems Thinking and Operations Expertise – Ability to define and run effective, efficient and repeatable management processes (ROB). Desire and proven ability to constantly improve and evolve systems through feedback and iteration to drive operational excellence.

Bringing People Together – Fostering a collaborative environment with the Retail/CPG Organization Unit (OU) and known for bringing people together. Ability to consistently stay positive and inspire passion and creativity in others. Displays adaptability, unquestionable ethics & integrity.

Judgement & Instincts – Proven ability to make sound principled decisions under pressure and find the “right” path even when headwinds are present. Confidence to speak truth to power and navigate a vast array of information and stakeholders. Identifies broad impact of decisions and implications for people and teams internally and externally

Key Responsibilities:

Business Leadership: execute the Retail/CPG Leadership Rhythm of the Business (ROB),working with Sales Excellence, Finance and HR to coordinate business processes and management controls.Work with cross-division and cross-company/team counterparts to manage team participation as needed for key business events, fiscal year planning, documenting and tracking business reviews and asks plus other strategic business planning activities.

Communications: execute VP communications plan and vehicles that support organizational strategic missions.Drive internal communications for team meetings (All Hands, All Manager meetings) and other internal communications at major milestones such as Win Wires, Hero interviews, etc.

Executive Engagement: project management of key executive outreach and listening engines such as customer and partner meetings, EBCs, internal Roundtables, 1:1s with Top Talent and D&I events. This includes all followup activities such as thank you emails and tracking actions to closure with sales teams.

Team Development: make Retail/CPG a great place to work by partnering with HR and the leadership team to shape and drive the quarterly recognition and awards, both formal programs such as Champion, Hero and Better Together plus our recognition programs.

Special Projects: drive high-impact cross-team projects as needed to meet the changing business environment and ensure the team is achieving commitments. Successful project management on strategic efforts that require hands-on experience across multiple functional disciplines.

Qualifications

Skills & Knowledge

  • Ability to work and build strong relationships with senior managers

  • Must have proven skills in financial, marketing, and IT management

  • Advanced oral and written communication skills, planning and organizational abilities

  • Intermediate conflict resolution and negotiation skills

  • Must be able to work independently, handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and negotiate and collaborate effectively

  • Must be highly analytical, able to understand business metrics, customer and market trends

Experience

  • 5 years of project/program management leadership including scope, schedule, budget; able to manage multiple, high-stakes projects and deliverables simultaneously across workgroups and stakeholders

  • 3 years of experience driving and managing business processes including forecasting, budget management and fiscal year planning

  • The position requires an individual who understands how to get things done through influence by leveraging your extensive interpersonal and collaboration skills.

  • Experience in strategic planning, execution, building relationships and working with executives at all levels strongly preferred

  • Experience and deep knowledge within Sales Excellence, Business Planning, Sales Operations, and/or Finance

  • Focus on providing process optimization by understanding the desired business outcome

  • Deliver end-to-end deep data analysis and actionable strategic insights

  • History of driving operational discipline as well as innovation

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) required and/or experience in relevant fields eg: business, marketing, information technology, operations, finance. Master's degree beneficial.

  • Some travel may be required once safe again

  • No relocation
