Wholesale Banking provides financial solutions to businesses across the United States and globally. Our four major business lines include Corporate & Investment Banking, Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate, and Wells Fargo Commercial Capital. We also have groups in credit risk, group risk, finance, marketing, human relations, and the Wholesale Chief Operating Office that support our businesses.

The Business Initiatives Consultant 3 - Lending Product Business Analysts will play a critical role supporting and leading key Product Management initiatives. Working directly with the Lending Product Management team they will lead product analysis and diligence for multiple product offerings. The team members will take on product simplification efforts aligning with the Transformation teams.

The Business Initiatives Consultant 3 is responsible for leading cross functional/virtual teams to strategize, plan, and execute a variety of programs, services, and initiatives that are larger in scope and complexity. Examples might include, but are not limited to: finance / operational / executive management review coordination, process improvement and redesign, change management initiatives, ongoing oversight of a leadership / diversity / recognition / Q12 or general program oversight. Provides leadership to other consultants and analysts in the integration/implementation of programs/services/initiatives with cross functional business partners, recognizing the significance of competing priorities and strategies, and adjusting as necessary. Develops metrics and tracks/evaluates performance of programs, services, and initiatives. Ensures plans/programs adhere to appropriate policies and regulations. Engages program or project manager at the appropriate level as defined in the Program/Project Management Policy to guide implementation.

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: project management, implementation, or strategic planning

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and understanding of product management in the financial services industry

  • Financial lending experience

  • Commercial lending experience

  • Experience using business knowledge and critical thinking skills to deliver upstream and downstream project impacts

  • Commercial credit experience

  • Knowledge and understanding of underwriting or evaluating commercial credit

  • Knowledge and understanding of commercial credit: risk

  • Knowledge and understanding of commercial credit: underwriting

  • Experience in financial statements, projections and financial modeling

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Microsoft Excel experience designing and running macros

  • Microsoft Excel spreadsheets experience importing, exporting, and manipulating data

  • Experience managing projects in a large enterprise environment

  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, and Project) skills

  • SQL experience

  • SQL or SAS experience

  • VB (Visual Basic) experience

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
