UNC Department of Public Safety Postdoctoral Research Associate in Chapel Hill, North Carolina

Position Summary

The postdoctoral fellow in this position will have the opportunity to lead the development of new biotherapeutic technologies designed to modulate the inflammatory response in ischemic heart diseases and cancer.

Educational Requirements

Must have a PhD in Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Immunology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.

Qualifications and Experience

Be proficient in one of the following areas:

  • Immunology/Immunoengineering

  • Gene editing

  • Transdermal drug delivery

  • 3D-bioprinting.

Additional expertise in mammalian cell culture, RT-PCR, western blotting, and nanoparticle characterization would be welcome but is not required.

  • Possess strong communication skills.

  • Have a growth mindset, enjoy working in a team, and be highly motivated to publish high-impact work.
