Wells Fargo Technology sets IT strategy; enhances the design, development, and operations of our systems; optimizes the Wells Fargo infrastructure footprint; provides information security; and enables continuous banking access through in-store, online, ATM, and other channels to Wells Fargo’s more than 70 million global customers.

The Marketing Decision Support System (MDSS) application team focuses on leveraging data from lines of business across Wells Fargo to provide key metrics to the analytics community. MDSS presents data from both the Household and the Customer perspective. Users of MDSS perform analysis, trending, ad hoc queries, generate marketing campaigns and more.

This position offers the opportunity to work with the Marketing Decision Support System (MDSS) team within the Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) group to provide business analysis support for our production processes. This role will interact daily with both Technical and Non-Technical team members. The team member selected for this role must possess the ability to learn new skills and improve upon their current skills-set, have a high degree of efficiency and motivation in work habits with the ability to work in a challenging, fast-paced environment as well as the ability to comprehend complexity, to fully understand a process with all of its business and technological implications, and to approach the analysis of the data or processes from that perspective.

In general this individual will:

• Act as a liaison between client area and technical organization by planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of highly complex business problems to be solved with automated systems.

• Provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet business requirements.

• Work with user groups to provide training, resolve questions, assess user needs, and recommend changes.

• Prepare specifications for system changes.

• Recommend and initiate systems testing.

• Act as an internal consultant within technology and business groups by using quality tools and process definition/improvement to re-engineer technical processes for greater efficiencies.

• Provide direction and guidance to less experienced staff.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of business systems analysis experience, business systems design experience, or a combination of both

  • 5+ years of experience writing Business Requirements Documents (BRD's)

  • 5 + years of experience gathering business requirements from various sources including end-users and stakeholders

  • 5+ years of experience with SAS or SQL, or other data management, reporting and query tools

Desired Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Experience developing and cultivating professional relationships

  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills

  • Knowledge and understanding of project management and implementation in a technical environment

  • Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities

  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization

  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment

  • Ability to operate effectively in a geographically dispersed organization

  • Experience identifying inefficiencies, finding opportunities to streamline business processes, and implementing change

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Knowledge and understanding of project management principles and the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

  • 2 + years of experience analyzing and summarizing data and presenting results or recommendations
