Develops and implements best practices in Sample Handling.
Has responsibility for the entire Sample Handling process and associated policies including, sample logistics, security, movement, storage, and disposal.
Develops and implements best practices for maintaining sample chain of custody based upon benchmarking against other providers of similar services.
Manages sample handling employees and may manage shipping and receiving employees in multiple offices and regions.
Has a deep understanding of the linkage between the Sample Handling process and the documentation within Flex, LabWare, and LWI
Develop, obtain buy-in, and implement global sample handling ownership governance process
Partner with our Sourcing Department to determine how to obtain advantageous terms for the shipping and receiving functions for samples.
Monitors the measurement criteria and manages reports and dashboards to show current performance and future improvements.
Evaluate and implement systems and process to keep our client samples secure.
Investigate new methods of sample storage to reduce space required for storage
Leads efforts to develop and report sample handling performance metrics to achieve goals.
Develop staff training and performance expectations and criteria.
Generally 5 Years or more of related discipline experience or demonstrated competency including 3 Years or more of relevant management/leadership experience or demonstrated competency
Yellow or Green Belt training preferred
Makes difficult tactical decisions even when all the information is not available.
