The Mosaic Company Automation Coordinator in Carlsbad, New Mexico
Are you our next Automation Coordinator?
We are currently seeking a Automation Coordinator out of our Carlsbad, New Mexico location. This person will coordinate the automation functions of both Surface and Underground Operations, Maintenance and Capital departments. These Functions include: Assist in developing a rolling 5-year strategy for upgrade and integrity of the automation network, this includes PLC networks, Servers, and PCs. Working collaboratively with electrical/instrumentation crews to monitor and troubleshoot field instrumentation and help ensure properly calibrated equipment, as well as training E/I in instrumentation functions. Assisting the Capital department with new projects including new logic and HMI creation for new equipment. Assisting Operations in unit op and process troubleshooting. The role will include working with Corporate IT in managing the automation software and systems (PLC, DCS, HMI, Wonderware) including networking hardware and software, maintaining licensing requirements and some budget development for these systems.

Responsible for conducting audits and inspections
Reviews and authorizes work permits
Be vigilant of issues and conditions that can affect their fellow workers.
Report any issues that can impact the environment or the safety of the employees
Process network upgrading
Troubleshooting E/I and process issues
PLC Logic creation
What do you need for this role?
High School diploma or G.E.D from an accredited institution required.
Bachelor’s Degree in related field or Graduate of an accredited Industrial Maintenance Electrical Training Program preferred.
5 years of experience in networking, computer hardware, or PLC required
Experience in MS Office, Linux, IP configurations, VMWare
