How will you make an impact?
As a member of the Bioprocessing Collaboration Center, this position will support the Bioprocessing Collaboration Center by leading cross-functional project teams, through the scoping, planning, execution and closure of strategic collaboration projects supporting process improvement, product development and innovation initiatives.
What will you do?
Develop project plans containing complete scope of work identifying all project requirements, tasks, resource assignments and an accurate estimate for task completion.
Champions and drives new product projects through the company product commercialization process.
Create/update project plans (Gantt charts) on a regular basis.
Manage expense and capital spending associated with projects.
Lead, motivate and inspire project cross-functional team members.
Provide meeting minutes and action items to teams.
Generates and disseminates meeting minutes which accurately capture key decisions, open issues and action items. Follows up on status of task and action item execution both within and outside of meetings and updates project documentation (project timeline, meeting minutes) accordingly.
Communicate status and updates for projects - keep stake holders informed of project progress and potential roadblocks.
Coordinate projects from initiation through delivery; planning and directing completion of all required product development activities or project deliverables.
Present projects for approval.
Regularly reviews project team progress and uses processes, tools and other related resources to ensure effective team dynamics and decision-making, as well as effective interactions with all internal and external collaborators.
Manages Bioprocessing Collaboration Center SharePoint
Proactively identifies any issues, concerns or challenges in regard to assigned project; develop action plans to address open issues, including escalation to key stakeholders as necessary. Facilitates tradeoff decisions and removes obstacles.
Conducts proactive risk management: communication of needs, mitigation plans, and requirements relevant to internal/external partners and stakeholders.
Interfaces with any external alliance or collaborator partner organizations.
Provides regular status updates and report out to key stakeholders, sponsor and executive leadersheip.
Supports head of BCC in developing and implementing business processes
Liaises with division's project management office.
How will you get here?
A Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemical, Biopharmaceutical engineering or Engineering.
PPI training and/or PMP certification preferred.
5+ years of experience in project/program management in the biopharmaceutical industry.
Experience in supervisory management of staff is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Excellent knowledge of project management.
Demonstrated experience at applying project management principles (e.g., resource modeling, risk analysis, cost and benefits estimation, etc.)
Experience using Project Management Software (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, etc.) to manage complex timelines and resources.
Financial acumen; capable of planning and oversight of project budgets.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
Understanding of biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
Persistence to overcome project obstacles and drive to completion.
Experience in managing multiple projects in different phases at the same time.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills: ability to adapt message for diverse audiences.
Confident at interacting with various level of management.
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to develop authentic relationships with stakeholders.
Good conflict management skills.
Strong negotiation skills and demonstrated track record of driving decisions and discussions.
