The Nurse Practitioner plans, implements, and evaluates regiments of inpatient and ambulatory care in collaboration with other members of the core healthcare team utilizing advanced assessment, diagnostic reasoning, clinical therapeutics, and case management knowledge and skills.
Assures continuous quality improvement healthcare services through development of efficient and cost effective practice standards, promotion of professional education, and participation in research and scholarly activities.
Schedules follow-up visits in office or unit as needed.
Performs physical examinations.
Can apply theoretical knowledge, problem-solves, and plan using scientifically sound reasoning, in the context of the individual clinical situation.
Prioritizes and individualizes data collection appropriately for the clinical situation.
Provides user-friendly link between hospital and community physicians and agencies in order to assure continuity of care and good public relations.
Promotes the clinical and professional development of nursing staff and students.
Reviews medical data forms for applicants to facility and advises administration as to health status of applicant.
Medium work: Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally; and/or up to 20lbs frequently; and/or up to 10lbs constantly.
Educational, Licensure, & Experience Requirements
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
Masters of Science in Nursing degree required.
Current Ohio Nurse Practitioner license required with current certificate of authority required.
One year of nurse practitioner experience preferred.
