We are currently seeking a 1st shift Vacuum Machine Operator to join our production team in Cannon Fall, MN. Pay Rate: $16.78-$23.06 per hour Job Function Forms letters by placing sheet plastic in a vacuum machine, activating the machine, and removing the formed letters. Specific Job Duties Reviews production orders to assure requirements of the job. Locates the correct letter molds and places letter molds on press plat in a manner to most effectively utilize the sheet plastic. Places correct plastic sheet on the press, and heats the sheet to the proper temperature. Monitors heat regularly during the forming process. Cycles the machine, forming the desired letters, and removes the formed letters for cooling. Uses judgment and experience in monitoring the cycle, making adjustments to the process as required. Removes molds, and cuts out letters from the sheet, insuring that letter dimensions are as indicated by the work order. Stacks individual letters in the appropriate order, and labels the letters with the current order number, insuring the accuracy of counts and labels. Transports molded letters to the cut-out area for further processing. Removes the molds from the plat and returns them to the proper storage area, refilling such alphabetically by letter style. Inspects molds to ensure that they are in proper condition for future production runs. Returns molds to the mold room if repairs are required. May perform adjustments to the molding machine and make minor repairs, if necessary. Periodically cleans out logo racks, and places scrap in boxes for removal from plant. Completes required production reports daily indicating quantity of production and related information. Performs duties in a safe manner, and follows approved safety procedures at all times. Maintains an effective working relationship with fellow employees. Maintains department in a neat and orderly manner at all times. May perform reasonably similar or related duties as assigned.
