The Sr. Specialist, Social Media and Community Manager is responsible for developing and executing Burlington’s organic social content strategy and managing Burlington’s day-to-day reputation management efforts (community management) across all Burlington branded social handles, paid social and relevant local listing sites (google, yelp, etc.) to increase audience engagement and further brand reputation.
This role will inform the editorial content calendar steeped in the insights and consistent review of competitive/best in class retailers/brands on social to help drive the content and will closely collaborate with internal and external partners to help bringnew content ideas to life. Additionally, it will support a community management specialist dedicated to engaging in appropriate social conversations related to the brand and responding to comments on social platforms and listing sites.
Candidate to have experience withcreative content planning and approval processes, is able to juggle competing priorities, can deliver impact informed by data insights, while measuring and defining success within the social landscape and respective platforms, as well as understands the community management landscape.
Social Platform Content Planning & Brief Writing : Responsible for developing social content calendar for respective platforms, writing content briefs, and working cooperatively with marketing channel owners to deliver consistent seasonal content priorities
Community Management : Be a champion of brand reputation responsible for managing the brand’s day-to-day community management efforts and its processes in building relationships and engaging with the consumer in social and local listings and escalates issues as they arise
Innovation: Stays on the pulse of trends and platforms to help drive social content ideation and innovation across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Snapchat and YouTube (and whatever is next) to bring the brand’s multiple dimensions to life working closely with the creative team to help executeacross the various social channels, leveraging video, still imagery, UGC, and influencer content
Reporting : Regularly reviews social content insights to inform future content ideation and works to build and distribute weekly, monthly and quarterly social reporting and ad-hoc campaign recaps across the marketing team and at times cross functionally to help inform and demonstrate opportunities for furthering the strategy
Leadership and Collaboration : Provides development and support to Social Media Community associate and works to continually grow and develop one-self, as well as working collaboratively with others within the marketing team, cross-functionally and with external partners
Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or Marketing preferred
4-5 years of related experience within a marketing team and a focus on social media, understanding the inner-working of Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Pinterest, Snapchat and YouTube, etc.
Prior experience/participation in Community Management and Customer Service/Customer Experience (C/X)
Experience in developing/creating content calendars, creative briefs and clear understanding of the creative process
Proficient with social media management platforms and local listing tools for listening, content scheduling, community management, benchmarking etc.
Strong communicator verbal and written skills
Strong and experienced collaborator
Highly organized, able to prioritize projects effectively with effective presentation skills
Top notch analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven content decisions and recommendations
