Compliance Specialist

This role will be responsible for assisting with customer compliance issues by acting as a point of contact for cross functional teams and resolving all relevant non-compliance issues. This role will also support Supply Chain, Finance and Business teams in administering the settlement of non-trade supply chain deductions. Specific areas of accountability will include responsibilities related to validation and processing for deductions as well as aligning business procedures to customer compliance standards. The role will communicate as necessary to gather compliance requirements and non-trade deduction supporting documentation and required approvals will be obtained working with Supply Chain, Commercial Finance, Sales Teams, Customer Trade Accounting, Other Deduction areas, and Accounts Receivable (AR) corporate team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for specific customers non-trade supply chain deductions.

  • Identifies and investigates root causes and trends.

  • Distributes copies of deductions to appropriate parties with goal of validating or invalidating each deduction line.

  • Ensure all deduction documentation is complete and sufficient to support classification of expense (valid) or recollection (invalid deductions).

  • Ensure timely research and resolution of customer deductions in accordance to policy and procedures.

  • Effectively analyze deductions to identify root cause and work with cross-functional teams to reduce/eliminate recurring deductions.

  • Provide administrative support by implementing systems, procedures, and policies related to customer routing guide requirements.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in Supply Chain or similar field or prior experience in a supply chain or customer service role

  • Prior experience working with MRP / ERP systems (preferably SAP)

  • Prior experience in Excel (performing functions such as pivot tables, v look-up, etc.) preferred

  • Prior experience in PowerPoint preferred

  • Prior experience using Business Analytics tools to analyze complex data sets preferred
