Providence is calling a CT Technologist (Full Time/ Day Shift) to Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, CA.
This opening will utilize the Modern Hire Video Prescreen Tool. If invited to this prescreen, candidates who complete this process will be given preference for interview consideration (Please note: Completing this process does not guarantee that you will be selected for an in-person interview).
We are seeking a CT Technologist who will perform CT scans according to accepted department protocols and hospital policy and procedure.
In this position you will:
Follow Universal Protocol at all times to ensure correct patient, correct procedure, and correct side.
Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, improving organization performance program, patient/customer safety, environmental and infection control standards.
Perform CT scans; obtains patient history, prepares patient for the exam, explains exam, and ensures patient cooperation during the study.
Photograph CT scans, utilizing appropriate window/level settings and formats according to department standards.
Recognize adverse reactions and contradictions, and acts appropriately.
Operate patient monitoring equipment; sets patient up, monitors and records data.
Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in service meetings and workshops.
Attend meetings as required.
Participate in quality improvement activities.
The following job accountabilities may be reassigned:
Plan protocols, consulting patient exam history (including nuclear medicine, ultrasound reports) with radiologist and RN when appropriate.
Schedule CT scans, and coordinates patient flow in the department.
Transport patients to CT scan room; prepares and maintains room for daily activities.
Complete paperwork and billing functions; verifies and signs off inpatient orders, completes ITS functions, requests and completes master jacket and CT insert preparation.
Perform radiographic examinations.
Request and order supplies as necessary to keep materials on hand at all times.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Education sufficient for certification
Advanced CT certification with A.R.R.T.
BLS for Healthcare Providers sponsored by the American Heart Association.
If employee/applicant has certification by the American Red Cross-CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, this will be accepted until card expiration date
CRT with RHF.
