Osmose is currently seeking a Data Analyst who is primarily responsible for researching, gathering, and visualizing data as it pertains to consultative selling engagements and furthering the Asset Analytics platform. Validation of the Asset Analytics platform applications will also be a key area of focus.

Responsibilities

  • Execute ETL processes and workflows to capture, store and process utility infrastructure data in specific ways that make it actionable in machine learning / modeling processes.

  • Collaborate with Solutions Consultants and other staff members to provide specific data needs to supplement the consultative selling engagements.

  • Analyze data and identify trends in individual customers and the entire electric and telecom utility population as a whole.

  • Download and apply spatial datasets using GIS Software to perform ad hoc analyses as well as to supplement the Asset Analytics platform of models.

  • Assist the Data Engineer in gathering company wide data for utilization outside of the Asset Analytics team as required.

  • Act as a contributing member of the project team from project inception to completion.

  • Use defined application requirements to validate outcomes from the Osmolytics Suite of applications.

  • Maintain understanding of how individual work and decisions fit into the broader organizational picture.

  • Keep skills updated and remain proactively aware of technology and methodologies relevant to the position, and personal growth.

    Qualifications

  • A minimum of one (1) years related Data Analyst experience preferably in the areas of consultative selling, asset management, analytics, and solution building.

  • Proven history of generating innovative and effective data analyses.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills to explain complex technical topics in an easily digestible manner.

  • Demonstrated computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint. SQL Server, Python, R, ArcGIS and internet research skills.

  • Must have a strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Willingness to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Utilities services background a plus.
