Become a Hardware Advisor for a US Data Center Migration Project (Székesfehérvár or Budapest)
This role is part of a newly formed 5-member team of senior professionals in Hungary, who support the US Data Center Decommission team in their data center migration projects. Two professionals with strong data center management background came onboard in May, come and join them!
The Hungarian team will support the planning and implementation of the decommissioning of 13 heritage data centers in the US, by migrating to cloud or to preferred data centers. Solutions need to be developed and managed for each and every affected client.
Main professional responsibilities include:
Technical Advisor for IBM and client relocation teams to provide insight on landing zone compatibility
Advisor to the Decommission Project team on IBM and client requirements for the landing zones. Scope includes the solicitation of client IT requirements and the development of a build out plan compatible with landing zone infrastructure.
Key attribute for consideration include power density, physical cabinet security, power and data distribution and cabling infrastructure and energy based containment

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

You have technical familiarity with hardware planning for Mainframe, X, P and Z series, storage and network.
In addition you have a holistic data center hardware planning experience,
you possess strong English language skills , both written and oral with the ability to advise and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues in English
and you are result-driven.
