Job Brief (Purpose)

Reporting directly to the Small Business National Sales Leader, the Small Business Team Lead is responsible for the leadership, production, and administration of the Small Business Wellness Advisor (SBWA). The role is accountable for ensuring SBWA s provide superior client services by resolving internal and/or external client inquiries, account servicing, resolving client issues, exploring opportunities to sell additional products and services and making qualified sales referrals. The Small Business Team Lead is responsible for the strategic positioning and direction of the team. The position serves as an effective coach to team members to drive superior client service and sales results. The Team Lead will partner closely with the branch network to ensure sales and support is being provided to business banking clients in the $0-$3MM segment.

Job Responsibilities

Manages a team of centralized relationship managers who are responsible for maintaining and growing a client base of companies with revenue between $0-$3MM.

Partners with branch network to insure clients are properly managed within the centralized team.

Ensures the delivery of the BB value proposition

Coaches to the business banking value proposition and defined client experience

Directs the team s sales efforts through utilization of consistent sales processes/tools including a disciplined approach on servicing existing clients and sourcing new.

Maintains an in-depth knowledge of products and services

Fosters an environment for learning/best practice sharing and accountability; drives the performance and sustained success of the SBWA team.

Provide guidance and identification of SBA questions, steps and expectation timelines as well as the basic identification of and guidance on potential SBA credit opportunities

Provide guidance and identification of real estate related questions, steps and expected time

Provide pricing oversight and execution consistency with Business Banking pricing policy

Supports sound credit initiation process to drive a high quality profitable portfolio

Creates a positive work environment, establishes high standards for work quality and provides opportunities for career growth in order to develop and retain a highly trained and motivated staff.

Establishes and tracks performance objectives for team members; manages and evaluates BRC RM s performance to established objectives, differentiates performance and strives to ensure each RM achieves their respective goals

Job Requirements

3-5 years leadership experience within the financial services industry or equivalent experience

A minimum of 5 years proven success in sales management and/or business development role

Demonstrated experience with and thorough knowledge of personal, business and commercial financial statements, commercial lending, and small business operations

Ability to effectively execute against multiple priorities and deadlines

Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on consensus building and negotiations

Proven success leading and motivating a team

Ability to develop and challenge direct reports and peers through strong leadership and coaching

Proven experience with leading large scale projects and cross-functional initiatives

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong presentation skills

In depth knowledge of financial products and banking regulations
