NOTE: As a NYC contracted agency all positions at Good Shepherd Services fall under the NYC vaccine/testing mandate. All employees, volunteers and interns must show proof of vaccination or submit to weekly COVID-19 testing.
If working in a NYC DOE partner program, proof of vaccination is mandatory.
The front desk person will helps create a welcoming culture by greeting guests professionally and warmly. The front desk person will also support the smooth running of the facility by providing administrative support to the Center.
Reports To: DIRECTOR, South Brooklyn HS
Location: 173 Conover, Brooklyn, NY
Hours: Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm
Create a welcoming environment for youth, families, staff and visitors alike.
Greet and announce participants and guests upon arrival and direct them to the appropriate program or service.
Maintain electronic and/or paper sign-in process.
Answer and direct all incoming calls to appropriate staff.
Assist in the registration of program participants.
Provide clerical support to center Directors including data entry, class registration, updating documents, etc.
Assist as needed during special program and agency events including outreach, mailings, etc.
Manage center calendar
Perform other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or GED and minimum 1-year office experience required.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Must have the ability to interact in a positive and courteous manner with families, GSS
