Start Up Medical Group with 15 locations throughout NY Upstate, NY City and Long Island has an Immediate opening for a Board Certified/Eligible licensed Family Family/Internal medicine physician for its Assisted Living and Ambulatory facilities. Excellent opportunity for a Physician with superior bedside manner and a drive to manage quality care.
As a member of our health care team, render full-spectrum medical care to patients of all ages in Assisted Living Facilities and or in our ambulatory office.
Render to patients of all ages those medical services normally expected of a family practitioner in office practice: Examine, diagnose and treat medical illnesses, evaluate health status, initiate therapeutic and preventive measures, and make appropriate and necessary referrals to specialty and other consultative medical services. Those medical illnesses which are treated include the entire spectrum of family medicine.
Carry a patient caseload consistent with the quality of care and productivity standards.
Communicate on an ongoing basis with other health care providers, Administrators and staff on all aspects of the health needs of patients.
Complete all necessary documentation on our EHR connected with duties, including progress notes in the digital medical records, completion of all forms required by the data collection system of the medical practice, and all outside reimbursement and regulatory agencies and organizations in a timely manner.
Attend medical staff meetings and conferences as required.
Under appropriate circumstances and with the approval of the Medical Director and the Executive Director, admit patients to hospital and performs the normal duties of an attending physician in the management of patient care.
Other duties and/or projects as assigned
Graduation from an accredited Medical School.
Completion of Family Practice, or Osteopathic Medicine Residency Program.
Board Certification/Eligibility in Family Practice.
Licensure to practice medicine in the State of New York with current registration.
Progressive work experience in an ambulatory care setting (emergency room, clinic or health center, Assisted Living Facilities).
Bilingual in English and Spanish but not necessary
Professional, courteous and respectful attitude in dealing with patients.
Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served (if applicable).
Commits to exceeding expectations of the patient.
Works well with others.
Contributes input to improve outcomes.
Asks others for opinions and feedback; provides feedback in a tactful respectful way.
