We’re looking for aContract Copy Editorto temporarily lead our team of in-house copywriters and freelancers. The right candidate for this editorial and project management role will make sure that the stories we tell are consistent with our brand personality, values, and company vision.

In addition to managing assignments, approving copy, and working closely with our Creative Leadership Team, the Contract Editor will write and edit original content across all channels, including (but certainly not limited to) product descriptions, email, website, social media, catalog, and video.

You have original ideas, an active imagination, copious creativity, and lots of love for words, writing, and editing. You understand the importance of brand personality, voice, and how to use copy to create and reinforce psychological impressions. You are able to successfully manage, coach, mentor, and develop people and talent. You are organized, detail oriented, and able to meet tight deadlines. Oh, and you have tons of ideas. About everything. Always.


  • Maintain the brand voice in everything we write

  • Manage in-house copywriters and freelancers

  • Project manage new item handoffs, email assignments, and other copy requests

  • Work closely with Creative, Marketing, and Merchandising teams on various creative projects

  • Write, write, and write some more

  • See above and replace write with edit


  • 5+ years of experience copywriting and editing

  • Highly creative and organized; able to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience managing and mentoring creative people in a creative environment

  • Strong command of language and grammar

  • Familiarity with our company, voice, aesthetic, and values a plus

  • Familiarity with CMS, SEO, and project management tools a plus
