Leake and Watts Services Billing Specialist in Brooklyn, New York

Under the supervision of the Billing Manager. Bills ACS on a monthly basis. Reconcile ACS payments. Enter all movements in the CCRS System and Lewis Tracking System. Serves as liaison between program staff, Government staff, PEM and Fiscal.

Characteristic Duties

  • Enters all movements created by FFC Case Workers in the CCRS System

  • Enters all movements created by FFC Case Workers in the Lewis Tracking System

  • Run Data Tracking Report twice a month and share with FFC Workers and Supervisors

  • Collect the Data Tracking Report Twice a month

  • Update all discrepancies in both systems

  • Create vouchers for Initial clothing for children entering the system, Email all vouchers to the vendor, turn over copies of all vouchers to Account Payable.

  • Create vouchers for furniture to children in the Foster Parents homes, Email all vouchers to the vendor, turn over copies of all vouchers to Account Payable.

  • Bills ACS on a monthly basis for initial clothing, furniture etc..

  • Bills ACS for Exception to Policy payments

  • Create different agency related Reports on a monthly, quarterly and annually basis.

  • Participate in inter-departmental meetings to present and discuss issues for billing and collection improvement.

  • Maintains records and files consistent with privacy standards and security provisions of the Agency.

Essential Duties

  • Track, check and enter all data in both systems

  • Bills ACS

  • Assist in collecting information for audits

  • Submit Monthly reports

  • Participate in inter-departmental meetings to present and discuss issues for billing and collection improvement.

Education:

BS or BA degree preferred. At least two years of prior experience in working with Data Base Systems.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database manipulation skills including Word / EXCEL / ACCESS.

  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multi-task and manage competing deadlines and priorities.

  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

  • Professional, courteous phone demeanor and the ability to manage heavy volume of incoming telephone calls.

  • Ability and willingness to work independently as well as collaboratively with team.

  • Ability to maintain high degree of confidentiality regarding sensitive information regarding the children and families served by the Agency; maintain records and files consistent with privacy standards and security provisions of the Agency.
