Join Cardno's Restoration Services team to play an integral role in implementing project work in the ecological restoration management field.spanspanspanspanspanspanspanspanspanspanspanspan/span/span/span/span/span/span/span/span/span/span/span/spanbspan class="emphasis"Job Description:/span/bspan/spanCardno is seeking a Field Supervisor - Ecological Restoration to implement project work in the ecological restoration management fields. Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the position includes the direct supervision/ coordination of field crews, implementing a high quality product, interpreting construction plans/ specifications, assists in administering Cardno's Health and Safety culture, track project budgets, and ensuring equipment maintenance. Projects will involve field labor, technical work, and/or supervision. A typical work day consists of an 8-10 hour day although, in accordance with the requirements of specific assignments, may include irregular hours. Position may also require overnight travel.brbrResponsibilities include but are not limited to:brbr Implementing restoration project work at the ground level under the direction of regional Operations Manager and/or Project Managersbr Native planting, seeding, erosion control installation, herbicide application, prescribed fire or any other activities necessary with field implementation of ecological restoration projectsbr Supervisors may be required to spend up to 1-4 nights per week out of town working at remote locationsbr Adhering to corporate policies, operate through the proper management channels, and act in the best interest of firmbrbrBasic qualifications:brbr Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences (Ecology, Environmental Science, Botany, Biology, Fisheries, Forestry)- or equivalent experiencebr Supervisors will be required to obtain commercial Pesticide Applicator's Licensebr Valid Driver's Licensebr Standard First Aid, CPR, and/or Red Cardbr 2+ years leading field crews related to ecological restorationbr Experience operating truck/ trailer combinations (+20,000 lb GVWR)br Experience operating equipment such as tractors, ATVs, chainsaws, and/ or skidsteersbr Ability to travel overnight for 1-4 days out of townbr Experience with herbicide handling and applicationbr Experience in native and invasive species plant identification and/ or restoration techniquesspan Must be authorized to work in U.S. without company sponsorship/spanbrbrDesired Qualifications:brbr Experience with technical report writingbr Bilingual (Spanish) is a plusbr Operating a Global Positioning SystemspanbiEqual Opportunity statement for US based applicants/i/b/spanfont class="bold"Cardno has a long standing policy of Equal Opportunity in employment.
