Utilities Service, LLC Overhead Distribution Foreman with CDL in Bridgeville, Delaware

Utility Lines Construction Services, LLC is currently seeking a Overhead Distribution Foreman with CDL to join our team.

Essential Functions:

  • Supervises the crew to ensure proper administration of training, pay practices, disciplinary action, work production, adherence to safety practices and interpretation of polices. Coordinate with the GF Customer to complete work orders.

  • Responsible for the job briefing the crew on work tasks and the hazards associated with the job.

  • Directs the crew members on specific job tasks.

  • Receives ad interprets orders by the General Foreperson & coordinator of utilities.

  • Assigns work, enforces safety practices and obtains permission from property owners to perform work. Assumes responsibility for the maintenance and accuracy of records. Assists with accident reports. Assists with incident investigations.

  • Responsible for job cost control.

  • Assumes responsibility for inspection, proper working conditions and necessary repairs to tools and equipment.

  • Assists with field training of new equipment.

  • Directs emergency situations.

  • Confers with customers, property owners, general public, other contractors and representatives of utilities and governmental agencies.

  • Meets with General Foreperson, Utility coordinator, Safety Representatives and others.

  • Supervises crew. This will be the primary responsibility of the supervisor.

  • Works around hazardous equipment.

  • Works I all temperatures and will be exposed to nature i.e.., irritating plants and biting or stinging insects.

  • Exposed to traffic.

  • Works around excessive noise from machines, jackhammers, chain saws and other equipment with proper hearing protection.

  • Works at varying heights above ground, in manholes in confined spaces and in excavations.

  • Must be able to visualize the job build.

  • Must be able to identify the hazards on the job.

  • Must have a cognition to solve problems.

  • Responds to calls within twenty (20) minutes.

  • Work nights, weekends and holidays for extended periods; may be required to perform duties as part of recovery force during emergencies and disasters.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Due to the inherently dangerous nature of the industry and requirements to work with or around hazardous equipment, employees must be able to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time.

  • Must be able to visualize the job build.

  • Must be able to identify the hazards on the job.

  • Must have cognition to solve problems.

  • Must have transportation to and from the show up location, 50 miles or less of commute preferred.

  • Must have a valid CDL license.

  • Must pass a background check.
