In your role, you will:
In conjunction with Supervisor, oversee and/or perform daily activities for an assigned functional area of MHIRJ Aviation.
FUNCTIONAL AREA
Maintenance/Operation – Grades 08, 09 and 10
Oversee aircraft maintenance and /or major nacelle component maintenance and repair activities and assigned employees involved in troubleshooting, repairing, functional testing, inspecting, and performing maintenance on customer aircraft or customer nacelle components. Duties may include sheet metal and composite structural repairs or repair of components, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, avionics, electrical, and electronic systems. Utilizes component maintenance manuals and Engineering dispositions.

LEVEL I- Grade 07 – Performed in conjunction with Shift Supervisor within framework of authority
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Typically, five (5) years aviation or stockroom experience to include one of the following areas: warehouse, shipping/receiving, tool crib, parts inventory, requisition development and stocking
Thorough knowledge in functional area as evidenced through previous skills and experience
Ability to train employees in functional area
Ability to planning and organize tasks and workflow
Ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form
Ability to work shift with limited direction
Basic PC skills
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Typically, two (2) years MHIRJ experience
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Adhere to MHIRJ General Work Requirements (Factory, Shop & Hanger positions)
Coordinate workload, OT and make job assignments
Conduct Team Meetings in conjunction with Supervisor
Provide technical guidance/expertise in functional area
Train employees
Mentor and provide performance feedback
Provide input on disciplinary actions, PMP and selection process
Comply with environmental health and safety policies/procedures. Participate in 5-S activities. Perform work in a safe and timely manner.
Oversee employee activities and document as required
Perform other duties as assigned
LEVEL II - Grade 08
Performed in conjunction with Shift Supervisor within framework of authority
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Typically, two (2) years practical aircraft maintenance experience
Certification required/assigned functional area (i.e., “A” or “A&P” etc.)
Thorough knowledge in functional area as evidenced through previous skills and experience
Ability to train employees in functional area
Planning, organizational and PC skills needed to prioritize, assign and coordinate work
Ability to work shift with limited direction
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
None
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Same as Grade 08 in functional area
LEVEL III - Grade 09 – In addition to Grade 08
Performed with minimal supervision within prescribed framework of authority
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Advanced knowledge of inspection/ maintenance procedures in functional area
Advanced knowledge of pertinent reference materials
Communication and computer skills necessary to effectively and accurately interact with external and external customers
Full understanding and knowledge of all avionics, tooling and equipment
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Typically, two (2) years MHIRJ experience
Familiar with principles and demonstrates active engagement with Achieving Excellence System
Familiar with active engagement of 5S and Lean Principles
Senior level within functional area
Exhibits leadership skills
FAA and A&P Certificate as applicable within assigned area
Zero quality escapes within last year
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Coordinate and conduct Team meetings in Supervisor’s absence
Provide in-put on timecards
Coordinate accurate planning
Communicate aircraft discrepancies with customer/vendor/employees
Coordinate workflow with Supervisor
Provide in-put on accident investigation and associated paperwork
Monitor/ensure accurate data collection on employees in assigned work area
Monitor Budget vs. Billed
Estimate man-hours and prepare time estimates
Complete/approve all paperwork prior to turnover to QC/QA for final release
LEVEL IV- Grade 10 – In addition to Grade 09
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Ability to work shift unsupervised within prescribed framework of authority
Exhibits supervisor skills and demonstrated leadership
Rating of “4” or “5” on last PMP
Supervises all required personal training, certifications and qualifications as well as for crew
Superior communication and documentation skills
Superior use of all resources
Thorough knowledge and use of the customer approval system, Auto time, and other features of the variance
Thorough knowledge of the RSM and EHSop
Thorough knowledge of AWAs, Quality processes and Customer requirements
Ability to interact with and effectively communicate with Customers as evidenced through performance
Engine run and taxi qualification (Maintenance/Operations only)
Fuel farm qualification (Maintenance/Operations only)
Thorough knowledge of CNC software (Machine Weld Shop - NDT)
Ability to assist in the development of new business (Machine Weld Shop - NDT)

Engine run and taxi trainer
Ground handling trainer
