Product Manager

job summary:

The Technical Product Owner (TPO) is responsible for the successful initiation, planning, design and execution related to Digital Platform. The role will be to gather requirements for Digital platforms and work with the development teams to successfully implement the software requirements and enhance the platforms with new features. The position is highly cross-functional in areas of business analysis, quality assurance, project management, and application support.

In addition, the person will be required to work closely with senior business stakeholders, providing thought leadership and participating with the executive operations teams in corporate activities and decision making.

responsibilities:

  • Create, maintain, prioritize and sequence the team backlog according to business value and existing commitments

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for one or more of our development Agile teams

  • Work with the Product and User Experience teams to provide detailed guidance and prioritization during the product development process in an Agile environment

  • Assist with the elaboration of Epics, and Features into user stories that are granular enough to be achieved in a single sprint

  • Assist the product, engineering, and scrum team during regular ceremonies: feature review, grooming, sprint plans and demos by being the voice of the customer and communicating the value behind each product and prioritization decision

  • Inspect the product progress at the end of every Sprint to accept or reject work done

  • Conduct user acceptance testing on features and bug fixes before they are released, ensuring the high quality of products that are being delivered to customers

  • Communicate to Leadership, Customer Service and other stakeholder's the rollout plans, feature details and technical debt status updates

  • Partner with Product Managers to build for product Roadmaps

  • Work with business to plan, execute and drive change management activities associated to assigned projects

  • Develop and review project scopes, considering resources, and technological constraints with consideration to business impacts and identified risks

  • Collaborate with vendors and other parties involved to establish the vision and analyzing tradeoffs between usability and performance needs of integrated systems

  • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing, including conveying technical information to technical and non-technical users

qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology/ Computer Science or equivalent experience in role.

  • 3-5 years related work experience: Product development, Product Ownership , Project Management

  • Experience in the development of applications from analysis through to deployment

  • Experience with Application program interfaces (API's)

  • Understanding / experience with code languages / development technologies and methods
