Job Summary:

The Paid Social Lead is responsible for leading and overseeing the strategy and execution of locally-focused paid social campaigns for Walmart Inc. This individual collaborates closely with cross-functional partners, both internally and externally, to develop unique programs and media plans that drive client goals. The Paid Social Lead is responsible for coordinating and leading a team of offshore media delivery resources who are tasked with executing and reporting on all client-specific paid local social campaigns.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Own and oversee all facets of paid social media, including media planning and strategy, media buying and execution, campaign optimization and analysis, and post-buy reviews.

  • Own the client onboarding process including IO process, Salesforce updates, ad account access, and confirming credit line.

  • Responsible for developing strong client and platform partner relationships, and leading conversations regarding paid media efforts

  • Ensure flawless execution by closely collaborating with the outsourced delivery team, monitoring campaign set up and Q/A

  • Apply solid understanding of audience profiling techniques, media consumption habits, and competitive analysis to deliver innovative and effective services and solutions

  • Create project timelines, content calendars and collect associated assets and deliverables as needed for execution

  • Understand the client?s industry and be well versed in the client?s overarching social strategy and digital advertising portfolio

  • Own resolution of delivery challenges by collaborating internally on solutions and ensuring superior and consistent support to clientele.

  • Implement processes and workflows with offshore team to provide seamless execution and client service, including Quality Control processes and tools, project management tools, internal and external communication workflows, reporting templates, etc.

  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of client media budgets and program elements ? answer questions pertaining to the status of each program and campaign (stage of plan, buys, current workflows, and client billings).

  • Develop quarterly client goals and translate paid social media strategy into action and results.

  • Provide POVs and media recommendations; responding to RFPs and creating client presentations as needed.

  • Collaborate with offshore team to train and on-board new members.

  • Gauge local team objectives, challenges and needs by performing regular assessments.

  • Help compile local social best practices and industry one-sheets to be distributed throughout the company.

  • Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of training programs to ensure proper employee/contractor education and new hire onboarding.


  • 5+ years of direct digital or social media buying experience required; experience working in a media planning or buying position at an advertising or media agency preferred.

  • Minimum 1 year of Project/Delivery Management.

  • Deep ad tech marketing knowledge and proficiency is required.

  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel (pivot tables and macros).

  • Understanding of fundamental ads metrics and calculations (CTR, CPC, CPM, CPA).

  • Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills; ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations.

  • Excellent knowledge of digital media tools and platforms.

  • Extensive experience working with native social media ad platforms, Facebook/IG, Snapchat, Pinterest , Tik Tok

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to think on your feet, to be creative and talk knowledgeably about digital media and its implications on today?s businesses.

  • Successful track record of managing teams is preferred.

  • Ability to move fast, be bold and thrive in a dynamic, quickly changing environment.

  • Good sense of humor, entrepreneurial in spirit and team player.

  • Experience with dynamic ads and retail industry is a plus.
