Adecco Staffing Motor Assembler in Blacksburg, Virginia

Adecco is currently assisting a local client in Blacksburg, VA, with finding qualified Motor Assemblers. We are looking for candidates to join our team ASAP, so don't wait!!

Responsibilities:

  • Read and understand blueprints, drawings, and operation sheets.

  • Use hand and machine operations to prepare parts and sub-assemblies.

  • Assemble all types of motors by reading and interpreting specification sheets, assembly drawings, outline drawings, and hookup drawings.

  • Perform small precision assembly and assembly of large units as required.

  • Fabricate or form parts, coils, or structures according to specifications, using drills, calipers, cutters, or saws.

  • Mark serial identification and maintain traceability record

    Qualifications:

  • Minimum of HS Diploma or GED

  • At least 1-year prior experience in production or manufacturing.

  • Mechanically inclined

  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing and managing files and records.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills and basic knowledge of arithmetic.

  • Requires the use of judgment to plan, perform, and make decisions as to the sequence of setups, operations, and processes within the limitations of recognized or standard methods.

  • Self-motivated and capable of completing tasks without supervision.

  • Being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks

    Job Specifics:

  • $12.00 + shift differential (dependent on shift)

  • Full benefit package available

  • Weekly pay

  • Steel toed shoes required
