Job Description Summary

The internship will be performed in Maintenance Team for Operational Technologies under Gas Power Supply Chain in the Birr Factory. This team is responsible for the whole machine network infrastructure.
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to): - Co-lead process/quality improvement projects for operational excellence - Support in product qualification package - Opportunity to learn and execute Lean Six Sigma tools and make positive impact to the business - Conducting data collection and learn to apply data-driven analytical approach to problem solving - Exposure to Power generation repair workshop machinery & operating technologies.
Currently pursuing a Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Material and/or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent knowledge or experience
Competent with MS Office, Access, Visio applications and good knowledge with VisualBasic
Being inclusive and having the imagination and courage to make changes
Possess good communication skills.
Development of various applications based on Visual Basic
Support and training of employees in handling the applications
Support of the team in the implementation of projects
Development and implementation of safety-relevant systems for the factory
Supporting the standardization exercise of critical control valves, with interaction to various GE teams and suppliers. Helping to optimize templates required for efficient execution and offering of components and systems. Performing “daily-business” hands-on engineering tasks mentored by a team member could be another element of this internship.
Basic knowledge in mechanical engineering or equivalent. Very good computer skills in office programs and Microsoft Visual Studio. Experience with Visual Basic and Microsoft Access. High level of motivation and high level of communication skills.
