Generali Global Assistance Business Development Director in Bethesda, Maryland

Generali Global Assistance USA is looking for a dynamic Business Development Director for our Identity Theft and Digital Protection business unit. This sales role is the primary interface between Generali Global Assistance USA and the prospect and is responsible for generating new leads and completing new sales. The ideal candidate drives the sales process through lead generation, prospecting, presentations and negotiations all the way to successful close of the sale. The position achieves results through effective internal partnerships with Marketing, Legal, Finance, Product and Operations business units. The success of this role will be measured by achieving annual sales quota made possible by intensive management of an extensive pipeline of opportunities. This position requires 35% travel and ability to work in a virtual environment.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor?s degree preferred; plus five years or more of proven sales experience in professional products and services, with preference for identity theft protection, digital, security, and financial products.

  • Successful annual sales achievement of $2M+ quotas with strong client management and advocacy.

  • Proven success presenting and discussing solutions with C-level and other decision-makers.

  • Experience selling to financial institutions, insurance companies, affinity markets and human resource departments of corporations. Able to bring an established list of current relationships within US and Canada.

  • Experience in an online, mobile and technology integration solutions is a plus

Sales Process Excellence

  • Drives sales results through lead generation, prospecting and opportunity pipeline management.

  • Generates new sales leads through cold calls, building and developing senior level client contact relationships as well as through strategic partnerships.

  • Closes the business and negotiates pricing and contract terms.

  • Knowledge and experience of using HubSpot or SalesForce is a plus.

Product Knowledge and Experience

  • Experience in Identity, Cyber and Credit products is a plus.

  • Obtains knowledge of competitors? services/products and counters with enhanced products, processes or expert advice.

  • Quick Learner and capable of becoming an Identity and Digital Protection Product Consultant.

Sales Tools

  • Experience in CRM (HubSpot, SalesForce), MS office, SkypeForBusiness, GoToMeeting

  • Good organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a high-volume, fast paced environment

  • Ability to manage sensitive and critical client information

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Problem solving and decision making skills

  • Superior closing skill
