Team description

As a member of the Sales Cloud Platform Engineering team, the candidate has the mandate to provide drive innovation across the product line. This includes transition to Next Gen Microservice based architecture, adding AI/ML capabilities to enhance sales productivity etc. The candidate will work with other teams to establish business priorities to create and operate a secure and scalable, services rich, multi-purpose cloud environment to run on OCI.

This team has an opportunity to build the NextGen architecture starting at the Ground Floor, hence providing immense opportunity for visibility and scope for being part of something extremely important for the business.

This position provides opportunity to architect and build next generation App. The ideal candidate should have

  • Experience building Cloud Native Applications

  • Experience buiding Distributed Systems

  • Experience building SaaS applications and/or PaaS cloud services on a public cloud platform e.g., OCI or Amazon Web Services/Microsoft Azure, /Google Cloud.

  • Experience migrating or architecting microservices cloud solutions and/or containers or has built green-field “cloud native” applications

  • Multi Tier Application Modernization with K8S, Cloud Infrastructure

  • Multi -tier Application Transformation – Decomposition into a microservices architecture.

  • Experience using CI/CD Workflows, GIT, Prometheus, Grafana, Docker

  • Solid understanding of how to configure, deploy, manage and maintain large cloud-hosted systems; including auto-scaling, container management, monitoring, automation, scripting, troubleshooting and disaster recovery

  • Integration and API Development.

  • Have owned or been involved in the platform choices and decisions for the on-premises to Cloud journey

  • Deep understanding of RESTful Interfaces, JSON, Synchronous and Asynchronous API design

  • Competency in J2EE Platform - WebLogic, CDI

  • Experience with database technologies - Oracle, MongoDB

  • Strong understanding of static code analysis, unit testing and test driven development, security testing and automated test frameworks.

  • Wide knowledge of the Information Technology market and trends.

  • Highly motivated, self-starter with a quick learning style and a strong ambition to remain up to date with current technologies and trends

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Analyze, design develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end user applications. Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.

Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 or more years of software engineering or related experience.
