The Government Cloud organization is responsible for running and maintaining the Salesforce Cloud for government agencies throughout the US.Salesforce Government Cloud is building out our security development team to reinvigorate the way we deliver, deploy, operate, secure, monitor, and maintain the Salesforce Government Cloud. We are looking to add experienced software development engineers who can step up and own big chunks of that vision.As an SDE in the Government Cloud organization, you will be a member of a dynamic team focusing on building and maintaining an enterprise level, cloud computing infrastructure. You understand and apply a wide variety of concepts, practices, and procedures of the compute system cloud, and can resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways.You are a self-starter, able to make quick, effective decisions and think outside the box. Take management requirements and are able to design and implement automation. You work on multiple projects of moderate complexity. Demonstrate good judgment and use your expertise in selecting methods and techniques for developing solutions. Doing more with less is a challenge in which you excel.Required Skills:5+ years Strong Programming language proficiency (Java/C/C++/Node.JS/Python/Go/Ruby).5+ years of using Agile, Lean, and DevOps application development experience.3 or more years of RESTful API development.Advanced level knowledge and experience with infrastructure automation design and services, including HA (High Availability), IaC (Infrastructure as Code), PaaS (Platform as a Service), IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) and SaaS (Software as a Service)Strong knowledge with the implementation, optimization and automation of infrastructure services, SDN, NFV, Virtualization, Data Center OptimizationStrong knowledge of cloud services and experience with one or more major provider (AWS, GCP, Azure), including design and provisioning and configuration through automation and broker services (e.g. Terraform)Strong working experience with Linux and systems design and administration, including the automated provisioning and management of these environmentsExperience and knowledge of configuration management principles including services like Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Terraform configuration management.Proven knowledge of repositories and the use of CI/CD pipelinesExperienced knowledge of containers and container or
