Microsoft Corporation Senior Program Manager in Bellevue, Washington

Microsoft Advertising (Bing Ads) is the economic engine driving monetization of search & consumer services across Microsoft and strategic partners. As one of the Customer Solution Areas (CSA) for Microsoft, we contribute over $10B in annual revenue. Retail and Consumer Goods industry is one of the key sectors that Microsoft is investing across the board. We are constantly incubating Retail Ad products leveraging AI technologies, which will generate strategic value for Retailers and CPG.

We are looking for a Senior Program Manager with an excellent track record to drive the platform for these retailer services such as Product Ads. This is a cross functional role that interacts with many other divisions of Microsoft which are solving problems for Retail customers; and in doing so building a best in the industry solution offering for Retailers and CPG from Microsoft. You will understand the industry we are serving, what our competition is doing and identify new

growth initiatives and will be responsible for executing on that product vision and roadmap. You will work across Engineering, UX, Sales, Support, Marketing, Business Development to evangelize and talk to Customers to make sure products are adopted, get feedback and solve key problems for them.

This role requires a candidate with a strong technology background and experience in product management / program management. The ideal candidate will have advanced education in computer science or related areas, experience in product management especially in driving new product incubations; good understanding of distributed systems; and systems that depend on big data, machine learning/AI technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Understand retail customer scenarios, use cases, and requirements; and translate them into platform requirements

  • Drive retail services platform product plan & roadmap for powering strategic retail services scenarios such as product ads

  • Drive in-depth industry landscape and competitive analysis

  • Work closely with engineering teams to build out solutions

  • Work with customers to drive adoption, understand / solve pain points and adjust road map based on feedback

  • Quantify business impact and ROI of new products

  • Work with go-to-market teams to launch new solutions for customers

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, business or related fields

  • 5+ years of experience in product management leading products from definition to launch and successful customer adoption

  • Successful track record in driving product strategy and customer engagements for technology products

  • Good understanding of and experience in designing and developing large distributed systems dependent on big data

  • High motivation and entrepreneurial work ethic

  • Direct experience in working with engineering teams to launch new technology products

  • Resourceful self-starter with a track-record of driving action and results

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ads marketplace work experience, especially search ads marketplace work experience will be a plus

  • Experience in online products or cloud computing products

  • Experience with AI / ML
