Samsung Electronics America Senior Manager Product Management, eCommerce (Based in Mountain View, CA or Bellevue, WA) in Bellevue, Washington

This role demands extremely customer centric mind-set, strong analytical mind, with appetite for innovation, data-centric and can do attitude. You will be working closely with Supply Chain and Customer Service Operations team, responsible for overall product initiatives and building tools for operational excellence in demand planning and forecasting, customer connections, My orders, self-service and chatbots. Role and Responsibilities

What you'll be doing:

  • This person will drive Samsung eCommerce initiatives related to

  • -supply chain management – tools improving forecasting and demand planning accuracy

  • -eCommerce order management, post order customer notifications and self-service (My Orders) – reducing customer contacts

  • -customer service operational excellence - help CS agents improve CSAT and reduction in contacts per order

  • Internalize and deeply understand Samsung’s mission and strategies, as well as the mission and objectives of the eCommerce team

  • Distill vision and strategy for the team, get all members of cross-functional team excited

  • Be data centric to make informed product direction, whether in the form of competitive intel, customer behavior or other business metrics. Solicit and embrace critical feedback

  • Drive innovation, definition, deliverables planning (roadmap) and design of entirely new products and features to deliver against team and company goals

  • Drive cross-functional team to set qualitative objectives and quantitative goals

  • Drive definition of and execution against product go-to-market plan, including phasing and training

  • Write product specifications and work with UX designers to build the Mocks

  • Work with development and quality assurance engineers to build and ship the features

  • Monitor and measure launched products and feed learnings back into product development process

  • Clearly communicate product plans, benefits and results, as appropriate, to both internal stakeholders and external stakeholders.

  • Has strong technical skills and is proficient in Confluence, JIRA, and Smartsheet

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required; computer science undergraduate degree or equivalent plus hands-on software engineering experience strongly preferred

  • Technical understanding must go from the highest abstractions down to the metal 1

  • 12+ years of experience delivering highly successful and innovative consumer Internet products with your fingerprints all over them which you’re extremely proud of what you’ve accomplished

  • Having prior experience on the consumer electronics eCommerce space is a huge plus especially in the supply chain management, order management and customer service operations space

  • Stellar design instincts and product taste

Physical/Mental Demands and Working Conditions: The position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment:

  • Work is generally performed in an office environment.

  • Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal 50% of work time, including prolonged periods of time.

  • The movement and transportation of equipment, most of the time under 25 pounds.

  • Performs work under time schedules and stresses which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive job stress, fatigue, unpaid over-time, intellectual challenge, constant technical data feedback, language barriers, and business management stress.

  • Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids representative and commonly associated with PCs, printers, and office work areas.

  • Frequently works additional hours beyond normal schedule.

  • Under very little direct supervision with a high level of responsibility to apply general policies and guidelines where decisions are seldom monitored and consequences of decisions adversely affect operating results and management decisions. Complete access to confidential company data where disclosure may jeopardize the company’s competitive position.
