Above all, we believe that collaboration is the best way forward.Role DescriptionHDR is looking for a project manager whose experience focuses on delivering datacenter projects with the major tech clients based in the Seattle area. The ideal candidate should have a proven background in successfully delivering various datacenter and mission critical projects ranging from upfront planning and pre-design activities through detail design and construction support. From a technical perspective, we are open to candidates that are engineers or architects as long as they have mission critical experience. This roll is an opportunity to join one of the largest, fastest growing and comprehensive TMT (Tech, Media and Telecom) practices in the A and E industry. In additional to managing and delivery projects (which is the primary focus of this role), the successful candidate must possess the drive, experience and charisma needed to develop and secure work from a robust regional client base and expand upon HDR's reputation within these markets. This individual will manage multi-disciplinary design teams from project conception to completion. Keen focus on organizational skills and follow through are required to be successful in this role. This Project Manager will report to the Washington Building Engineering Services Business Group Manager as well as work closely with our global client management teams. Some travel to client sites or other HDR offices is required.Tasks/DutiesCollaborate on development strategies, new business prospects, technical services, quality, and production methods and standards, to achieve the established goals and objectives of the business group, region and company.Manage design team staff ensuring successful project deliveryControl project budget, scope and scheduleEnsure product deliverables meet quality standardsInvoicing and contract managementPromote HDR through regular client interfaceCreate vital proposal content including scope, schedule and budgetLead HDR at interview presentationsOther technical / managerial tasks as assignedWork cooperatively with local office leads, other business group leads, technical directors and marketing managers.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture or a related field10 to 15 years' in the areas of site programming, project planning, design, construction and commissioningWorking knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, BIM360 Docs, BIM360 Field, and BluebeamCommand of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project)Demonstrated experience in working with multi-disciplined teams of engineers and designers.An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.Active in area industry associations.Preferred SkillsRelationships and Experience with Mission Critical and/or Datacenters Facilities clients and their needs.Advanced leadership and mentoring abilityAdvanced client relationship build
