The Boeing Company Application Security Developer Lead in Bellevue, Washington
Information Security is looking for an Application Security Developer Lead in Bellevue WA that is looking to expand their skill set in the area of secure coding practices and looking to help and work with teams across the company in dealing with and closing out common and reoccurring software vulnerabilities.
Provides leadership in the interpretation and improvement of Information Security policies and procedures for secure application development within the DevSecOps environment.
Maintains expert level awareness of threats, trends, and research in application security, with a strong fluency in current events and standards in the security community.
Develops and optimizes processes to improve the consumption of security development practices implemented within the CI/CD pipeline.
Applies expert level knowledge of security testing tools, practices and validation methodologies.
Leads proactive efforts to ensure end-to-end security of products through hands on testing, threat modeling, and administering technical direction to software development teams, remediating risks upfront, and championing secure implementation efforts.
Forges collaborations and influences product development teams to manage software security risks aligned with business goals.
Invents troubleshooting approaches and mitigations to quickly resolve platform issues and ensures application robustness and security.
Leads efforts to analyze, improve and automate secure coding practices, application security requirements, training, and metrics with an impact on the industry.
Develops and maintains strategic partnerships with customers, stakeholders, and peers.
Exercises critical thinking and innovative problem solving
Acts as the initial point of escalation for issues or challenges encountered by the team. Capable of effectively triaging and de-escalating issues with impacted parties.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience developing, implementing and assessing secure programming practices throughout the SDLC (Secure Development Life Cycle).
2+ years of experience in providing and creating technical guidance to developers across a variety of modern web technologies and frameworks to secure organizations IT infrastructure.
2+ years of experience in developing curriculum centered around Cybersecurity best practices
2+ years of experience in evaluating security maturity using the NIST Cyber Security Framework.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R.§120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Do you meet this requirement?

Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).
This position does not offer relocation. Location must be close to a Boeing campus in the US.
