Nike Value Management Manager in Beaverton, Oregon

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 5+ years of corporate development, corporate strategy, strategy consulting, business development, investment banking, or related experience; or 4+ years' total experience with an MBA / Master’s degree; or 7+ years' total experience in lieu of a degree

  • Ability to complete quantitative and qualitative analysis and financial models

  • Problem structuring and strategic problem-solving skills

  • Ability to navigate through ambiguity and influence across a complex, matrixed environment

  • Experience with presenting- and influencing senior leadership

  • Superior interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally

Preferred experience:

  • Apparel / footwear, retail, merchandising, digital commerce, digital services and/or experience in consumer facing industries

Who We Are Looking For?

We are looking for a Manager that will design and monitor the value metrics associated with key transformational efforts that will drive Nike’s strategy of Consumer Direct Acceleration. This manager will serve as a critical thought partner to Nike’s senior leaders to provide a holistic view of the overall performance through strategic, operational, people and financial metrics. To be successful in this role, you must be ready to roll up your sleeves to use data & insights to influence, advise, and cultivate relationships with internal business partners!

What You Will Work On:

In this role, you will initially focus on the measures of success tied to Nike’s new Operating Model. This includes an initial focus on the effectiveness and adoption of design, with a future view on impact (12+ months). To make this happen, your first task is to define the strategic intent of each measure of success, establish performance targets/time horizon and develop a reporting governance. We will measure transformation success across four areas:

Strategic: Measures progress against Nike-defined strategies to see if the information is having an impact on our existing leading critical metrics

Operational: Measures performance critical to the business across all Functions; each function prioritizes a subset of the Business critical metrics

People: Measures the engagement, experience and adoption of employees as they navigate transformation.

Financial: Measures achievement of key financial benefits

You will also partner with the Financial and Business Reporting team to coordinate and connect the right measures that provide more insight into performance against the enterprise measures. You will be the key point of contact in the monthly tracking and will help establish the first executive dashboard for senior leaders. As the work continues to evolve, you will capture findings from the first two reporting cycles (Q3 and Q4) and identify any required supplemental reporting.

Who You Will Work With:

In this role, you will sit in the Enterprise Acceleration & Delivery team, reporting to the Director of Value Management. You will partner closely with key cross-functional partners (Finance, Human Resources, etc.) and partners within the Strategy organization.
