Volvo Group Lead ESW Application Engineer in Bangalore, India

The person taking up this role would be responsible for Embedded SW Application development. Taking complete ownership of the deliveries working in a global environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the team members in Embedded SW Application development.

  • Take ownership and delivery on SW application responsibilities.

  • Perform trouble shooting in RTE, Source Code, application interface to drivers, BSP, OS, middle ware software.

  • Execute and deliver according to PI Objectives.

  • Breaking down the feature’s list into user stories.

  • Shall notice and bring up Impediments to line and Scrum masters in order to full fill PI objectives.

  • Suggest and implement improvements in the software development process/environment.

Essential skills and experience

  • 8-10 years’ experience in the automotive embedded software development area.

  • BE/ in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.

  • Excellent C and assembly programming and debugging skills.

  • Proficiency in 16/32 Microcontrollers.

  • Knowledge of CAN, LIN, J1939, UDS protocol, MATLAB, AUTOSAR.

  • Knowledge of AUTOSAR and Vector tool chain Ex: GENy, Candela Studio, Davinci Configurator Pro.

  • Knowledge of CAN (e.g. J1939) protocol, Canalyzer and CANOE.

  • Good communication skill (written and verbal) in English.

  • Good analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Knowledge on EE architecture.

  • Experience in SAFe and Agile SW development.

  • Experience in using agile development tools like Jira, Confluence etc.
