We have full-time and part-time roles supporting individuals in their own homes and at a respite service. One role is for female applicants only, where gender is considered to be a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with paragraph 1 of Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010. We will consider nights only contracts.

In the supported living services, you’ll enable adults with learning disabilities to increase their independence, supporting in all aspects of daily living, from cooking to managing finances.

Up to 40 guests visit the respite service throughout the year. We organise in-house activities; from arts and crafts to sensory activities and intensive interaction sessions.

No matter where you join us, supporting people with their personal care and medication needs is key. As a support worker you’ll also support people to do things in their community; from shopping and going on day trips to sport and visiting day centres and maintaining relations with family and friends. If you’re new to social care, we will support you gain the nationally recognised Care Certificate. If you have experience as a care assistant or care worker in a care home, you’ll discover we provide plenty of on-going training, support to achieve relevant qualifications and career progression. You’ll need good communication skills and a positive, patient approach. Respectful of people’s differences, you can build professional relationships and have a flexible approach. You can work 24/7 shifts including weekends and evenings / nights. A full driving licence is essential for some roles.

All support workers work flexible shifts to provide a 24/7 service to the people we support.

Full-time support workers work 37.5 hours plus one sleep-in a week (pay for these sleep-ins is included in the annual salary figures shown above). We also have some services where sleep-ins are not required and you may work some waking nights. The salary for these roles is £16,953 - £17,774 pa.

All support workers have the option of working additional hours or sleep-ins in a range of services and are paid £50-£70 extra per sleep-in.
